1967 Trans Am Camaro

This Historic Trans Am Camaro competed in 2 races during the 1972 Trans Am Series. On May 6th, 1972 Will Cagle drove this car at Lime Rock Park. The racecar was retired early due to an overheating problem and would finish the race in 30th position. A couple months later on July 30th, 1972, with the owner / builder / driver of the car, Chauncey "Jocko" Maggiacomo behind the wheel, this racecar competed at San Air International in St. Pie, Quebec. Jocko qualified in the 28th position and finished in the 18th position. Jocko has provided us with pictures, documents, and a tremendous amount of help with the restoration of this Historic Trans Am Camaro.

Since owning this car, Jim Glass has competed with the Historic Trans Am Group in 2002, 2003, and 2006. Jim has also raced this car at the Vintage Fall Festival at Lime Rock Park.
